And Happy Pride from Minneapolis! The city is abuzz with joy and celebration of LOVE. Driving across the 35W bridge last night, rainbows lit up the tall buildings in the skyline, and rainbow lights were sparkling from underneath the bridge over the Mississippi River. Love Wins! Hope you are celebrating love in the ways that make you feel alive. As always, there is so much to celebrate, and so much to protect.

Excited to announce a new moon-inspired yoga series that begins tomorrow (Monday, June 29th full moon in Capricorn), keep pumping up Lutsong Music Festival in beautiful Lutsen, MN July 9-12, shout from the rooftops that registration is open for our retreat to see the Monarch butterflies in Mexico next March,

Still buzzing from a truly magical “Red Shed Show” at our friend Linda & Paul’s yesterday - a private house concert on their beautiful land just outside of the city. A bunch of us piled onto my boo’s el Camino for a “band photo” - so silly - pic above! My friends Boots & Needles shared the show and are so fun ~ classic country, americana + sparkles & dirt! Join musician + yoga teacher Mary Bue for 9 summer Monday evenings from 6:30-7:45pm CT for Moon~Day Yoga. Evening offerings may include an intuitive mix of mindful movement, breath-work, meditations, mantra, yoga nidra & sonic blessings reflecting the energy of the the moon of the day: its phases, astrological sign transits, archetypes, poetry, music, and more.

Monday is the day of the moon! "Monday" derives from the Old English Mōnandæg, "Moon's day." Many names for this day derive from Luna, the Roman name for the Moon.

No previous yoga experience necessary - postures and practices will be explained with multiple options for the body of the day, and rest is always encouraged.

Many of you know that Monarch butterflies are soooo sacred to me, and probably to you, too! When I was 16, I had a wild car accident and fell into a big depression. I saw a small migration of monarch butterflies on my parents’ land and it felt like a miracle, to keep going. To see the Monarchs in their mass migration in central Mexico was a bucket list item, and I felt like I could have died happy right there (and I’m so glad I didn’t … because now maybe you can travel with us to this sacred place, too!

I’m so thrilled to partner with one of my long-time besties (from 10th grade!) - Sair Foltz Jordan who is a conservation biologist, entomologist, and artist on this “pligramage” to Mexico to witness the Monarch migration and so much more. Registration open now!

The Butterfly Effect: Small Actions, Massive Impact

One thing you hear over and over in the monarch conservation world is “we need all hands on deck.” Over our time together, in workshops and discussions, we will focus on the drivers of monarch decline and our small but mighty personal role in helping reverse it.

It’s not every day that you get to travel abroad and witness an endangered animal that YOU in turn can take DIRECT ACTION to support back home. You’ll leave this week with concrete action steps to take in your own yard or community and the tools and resources you’ll need to make these goals a reality.
